Back on TUF 17, Umeå’s Tor Troéng showed UFC veteran Yushin Okami how to take an ice bath with a smile. When MMAViking.com’s Ryan O’Leary asked The Hammer about it in 2013, and he invited the Californian native to Northern Sweden for a dip. “It’s not as cold as it looks” says Troeng!
Fast forward two years, and MMAViking.com’s O’Leary and Daniel Schälander gave it a try. On a windy day and in -10 Celsius weather, joined by other Renyi fighters Andreas Ståhl and Thomas Bäck, the crew took the plunge after finding the only access to water that wasn’t frozen solid in any lake or river in the surrounding Umeå area.
