Up and coming Norwegian prospect Emil Weber Meek (5-1) will make his return to the cage next Saturday as he has been sidelined with injuries since November of 2013. MMAViking.com talks to the MMA Trondheim fighter about his one loss, getting into MMA, dating a bikini fitness model, and more.

“I broke my arm in my professional debut” says Meek of the only blemish on his record. “The fight didn’t go well after that” laughs the Norwegian that is spending the week at Allstars Training Center in Stockholm.

“It’s not as glamorous as it looks” says Meek about dating a competitive bikini fitness model Linn Cesilie Tovås. “She doesn’t walk in a bikini and heals everyday, with a spray tan” jokes the welterweight.

“I took advantage of the market” says Meek about his growing popularity with a growing list of prominent sponsors. “I do everything myself, and spend a lot of time filing out applications for sponsorships.”

“I do everything I can to be attractive to my sponsors.”

Meek will be facing Poland’s Piotr Danelski (3-0) at the Arena Berserkerów 7 show on March 14th. “He’s from the same town I’m fighting in” and “he is pretty tall” says Meek about the opponent he still doesn’t know too much about.

The well traveled 26 year also talks about his travels to MMA gyms all over the world.
