Finn Aleksi ToivonenΒ (4-0) is on a tear, winning all four of his professional bouts by finish before the third round. Toivonen will have his chance for five as he faces Russian powerhouse Oleg Lichkovaka (3-1) at Cage 39 on April 29 in Helsinki. “Im looking forward to put a show on for the fans once again” says the Finn to MMAViking.com.
The Lahden Gentai / Primus fighter is emerging as a top prospect on the Nordic scene. The undefeated flyweight fought a tough Brazilian Vilson Junior (5-2) in his last outing at CAGE 37 and was impressive throughout, and eventually getting a first round armbar submission. Toivonen turned pro in October of 2015.
“He’s slightly shorter than me, bald and seems to be very muscular. Then again I have hair on my head so it should balance the differences between our biceps” says Toivonen about the matchup.
