Thor Palsson (4-1) lost his belt to England’s Stephen O’Keefe (8-3) for the lightweight title in the headliner of FightStar Championship 13 at the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre Location in London, England.
It will be a record breaking evening for Icelandic MMA as they send three pro fighters in the cage at FightStar Championship 13 tomorrow. This will be the most pro MMA fighters from Iceland on a single card.
The previously undefeated Palsson got caught early by a few left hands from the powerful veteran. Palsson tried to take the fight to the ground, and even landed a flying knee and head kick as he tried to keep the UK fighter at distance. But “The Spartan” took the fight to the ground and started landing big punches from the back, forcing the referee to stop the bout.
Bjarki Omarsson (1-0) won his pro debut while Ingthor Valdimarsson (0-2) was stopped in his bout in earlier viking action.
