Thomas Jessing (4-2-1) will face a top UK prospect in Chris Thirkell (7-0) Made4TheCage 25. The “Legacy” card is scheduled for September 2nd at Rainton Meadows Arena. “I haven’t had the chance yet to see any of his fights. So far I only know he is a black belt in judo, but he has got a whole lot of more tools in the shed than that.” says the Norwegian raised Dane.
“It has been difficult to get a fight. I was signed to fight on GMC on April 22, but unfortunately shortly after I signed the contract my opponent notified the promotion he was injured.” says the fighter that has been hunting for a fight for several months.
Jessing has had a draw, win, and loss in his last three outings. The most recent bout was a draw at SFC 12 versus Graham Armstrong. This will be will the promotional debut for “The Immortal” that fights out of Arte Suave in Copenhagen.
Thirkell has finished six of his seven opponents since turning pro back in 2012. The undefeated welterweight was last in action in October, where he won by kimura at Last Man Standing 2. He is also a veteran of M4TC, where h fought his first five pro bouts. “Iron Fist” recently took over head coaching duties at Spartan’s Gym in Sunderland. “He is one of the absolute top ranked welterweight hopes in the UK so far. At least until September.” says Jessing.
