Finn Teemu Packalen faces Frenchman Mickael Lebout in his UFC debut today at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. “I’ve never been this relaxed three days before a fight.” says Packelen on media day to media partner FightSport.fi as he deals with a very late-notice.
“It’s so hard to say how this short notice fight affects me, if the fight ends in a minute it’s a good thing but if it goes two minutes, I think I’d like to have a full training camp for the next fight.” says the Finnfighters gym fighter that will be on the prelim card of UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Leites (also known as UFC Fight Night 72).
“To all my fans, watch my fight live and let’s take Finland to the next level!” says the showman. Packalen has an unblemished record in both his two fight amateur and seven fight pro career. He turned pro in October of 2012.
Lebout is a 27 year old out of Crossfight. The lightweight has a 13 win, 4 loss, 1 draw, and 1 no contest record. He lost his UFC debut to Sergio Moraes in April, ending a 6 fight winning streak. Finn Kai Puolakka beat the Frenchman back at Cage 22 in 2013.
