UFC.com posted the main event and prelim bouts yesterday, and hitting the main card is Sweden’s own Papy Abedi. “Makambo” will look to grab serious attention in his debut as he takes on former UFC title contender Thiago Alves.
The bout will take place November 5, 2011 at LG Arena in Birmingham, England. The event is headlined by Chris Leben and Mark Munoz, and is expected to sell out.
The undefeated Abedi will be making the drop to 170lbs. for the first time in his professional MMA career. The HILTI fighter will join Alexander Gustafsson on the current UFC roster of fighters out of Sweden, and Abedi is the fourth Swede to enter the Octagon.
