Two weeks from now Tampere based StandUpWar promotion’s show number four will open the MMA season 2012-2013 in Finland. Besides pro and ammy MMA bouts the show will also hold a pro kickboxing bout where world champion Jarkko Jussila meets Martin Fouda in a traditional Finland versus Sweden match up.
In the main event hometown prospect Kai Karar gets a stiff challenge from grappling wizard Tommi Marttinen. Marttinen, who won his first five fights by submissions, hasn’t fought since November 2012 when he lost by decision to undefeated BJJ black belt Greger Forsell at Cage 19.
Teemu Packalen of FinnFighters’ Gym will battle tough Polish Grzegorz Sajbor in a interesting lightweight bout where someone’s undefeated record has to go. Neither fighter has yet gone full rounds so excitement should ensue when the two lock horns in the SUW cage.
