Today Bellator officials announced that Andreas “Sweet Swede” Spång will co-headline the Bellator 69 card at the L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Friday, May 18. The Swede Spång will take on Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao. 
Bellator states “Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao will bring his explosive knockout power to the Bellator Middleweight Tournament Finals as he battles Swedish born Andreas Spang as both fierce competitors look to lock up a guaranteed title shot later this year. Spang delivered a vicious knockout to Brian Rogers in the semifinals and will look to continue his impressive run with another dominating victory.”
The winner meets Alexander Shlemenko the Bellator middleweight title, which was vacated by Hector Lombard who accepted a contract with the UFC.
Spång has made a name for himself with his aggressive attitude outside of competition, with the most recent a in-cage scuffle with Falcoa after his latest big victory, which cost him 20 percent of his purse.
