Reza Madadi will not step into the Octagon next Saturday against Marc Diakiese (9-0) and has just officially withdrawn from the bout. Mad Dog is coming off a big win at UFC Fight Night 87 with a finish against Yan Cabral by TKO in the third round.
“It is now the second time he is getting an injury completely out of his hands. This time his eye retina is severely injured and needs a emergency surgery. We have visited two independent doctors that have not cleared Reza to fight and have said if he gets punched in the face, there is a major risk he could become blind.
So until his surgery, Reza is not allowed to do any kind of sparring with face or eye contact.” says ManoManagement.
