Patrik Pietilä (9-7) will finally make his return back to the cage, and he will be doing it in a big way at Total Fight Night III on December 7. “Headlining Total Fight 3 feels great! Lahti is my hometown and i am so happy to fight here! I think the atmosphere will be amazing that night!” says the lightweight to MMA Viking.
Pietilä was last in the cage in April when he lost to Toni Lampinen (4-2) at Cage 43 in Helsinki. “7 months!!! It has felt so looooooooooong ? So yeah, we tried to get some fights earlier this year but we didn’t get any. But don’t get me wrong i have been training all the time! But now i am so exited to get back in action finally! And fighting (only) three times year for me sounds that I am inactive but am iI? Or do i just used to fight too much? ?” continues the Finn that fought 5 times in 2016 and 4 times in 2015.
“Matteus Lähdesmäki just announced that he is going to retire, so Lahti needS new king ?”
The Primus Fight Team fighter will face Artsem Rahalevich (8-6-1, 1 NC) from Belarus. “He is dangerous with his right hand bombs! I need to move a lot and keep my hands up! I will not underestimate him, he is experienced fighter and he is coming here to beat me but that wont happen!”
Pietilä was most visible lately as a training partner and cageside coach for Soren Bak as he captured the Cage Warriors Belt. “I learned that Soren is not easy guy to tapout ? We did have some crazy week of sparring with him under coach Carsten. I think most important thing was that i got to test my skill set against CW lightweight champ! I know i can beat really good guys from division so i am just waiting my turn to prove it!”
