Swedish contender Papy Abedi (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) will move up to middleweight for a bout on UFC on FOX Sports 1 2. The Allstars Training Center fighter will face TUF 17 fighter Dylan Andrews (16-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC).
“Makambo” joins fellow Nordic fighter Martin Kampmann, who is headlining the card against Carlos Condit on August 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Abedi made his debut in the Octagon in 2011 against Thiago Alves in the UK in a featured bout in a loss. After losing to James Head in Sweden, he came back in the second UFC in Sweden to win a split-decision victory over fellow Swede Besam Yousef. All of these bouts were at welterweight.
Andrews lost by TKO to Uruah Hall on TUF 17. His UFC debut was an impressive victory over Jimmy Quinlan.
