Swede Pannie Kianzad (5 wins, 0 loss) will face Megan Van Houtum (1 win, 1 loss) this Friday at Cage Warriors 71. The card that was originally planned for Stockholm has been a hot topic of late, but now the card has picked up and moved to the Middle East, where it will put on a show again at Amman’s King Hussein Boxing Arena. MMAViking.com has learned about Banzai’s opponent from Cage Warriors officials, as they found late replacement Houtum.
The undefeated Kianzad is one of the top prospects in the Nordics, and knocking on the UFC’s doors. Alexandra Buch was the original opponent, but she has fallen off the card. The Rumble Sports fighter turned pro in 2012 and has won all of her bouts, including her most recent battle at Superior Challenge 10 in her backyard of Helsingborg where she won a decision over Annallsa Bucci.
Houtom is out of Gracie Barra Netherlands and won her pro debut in 2012 over Hatice Ozyurt, before losing via a cut versus Alexandra Buch back in 2013. Houtom is a ground specialist, and should be interesting if the bout goes to the ground.
