Ole-Jørgen Mandt Johnsen (4-1) will make his UAE Warriors debut on September 17th at their 33rd event at the Etihad Arena at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Drammen, Norway fighter will face Nart Abida (2-0) of Jordan. MMA Viking has learned about the matchup from the promotion.
“OJ” has had a busy career to date since turning pro in 2019, racking up 4 wins and 1 loss. The Norwegian lightweight’s only loss was versus Andrej Kalašnik at Oktagon 17 in 2020, but bounced back in April with a rear-naked choke win at Almighty Fighting Championship 24.
Abida has won both of pro fights, and within the UAE Warriors promotion with two submission wins in 2021. The Combat Sambo fighter is 28 years old.
