Today Cage Warriors Officials have announced a new matchup for the CWFC Fight Night 7 card, which takes place in Amman on Saturday, September 1.
Press Release
Having impressed with a victory over Jacek Toczydlowski that earned ‘Fight of the Night’ honours at Cage Warriors 48 last month, Piotr Ptasinski will face unbeaten Norwegian star Mohsen Bahari in the Jordanian capital.
Bahari (4-0-0), who signed an exclusive contract with Cage Warriors earlier this year, hasn’t fought since April 2011 due to injury.
Training under Pride and Dream veteran Joachim Hansen at Team Hellboy, 28-year-old Bahari has secured all four of his professional wins inside the distance.
He defeated Leeroy Barnes by TKO after just 40 seconds of their bout at BAMMA 5, before most recently stopping Farshad Farsiani – also by first-round TKO – at Superior Challenge 7.
Ptasinski (4-1-0), who represents Trojan Freefighters, dominated his recent CWFC 48 clash with fellow Polish fighter Toczydlowski.
He took the win by unanimous decision after controlling their three-round stand-up tussle.
Cage Warriors’ ninth show of 2012 will be headlined by two title bouts, as Conor McGregor defends his featherweight strap against Jim Alers and Chris Fields tackles Pavel Kusch for the vacant middleweight belt.
