Undefeated Niklas Bäckström (3 wins, 0 losses, 1 no contest) takes a step-up in competition as he faces the dangerous Conor McGregor (8 wins, 2 losses) from Ireland at Cage Warriors Fight Night 2 on Thursday, September 8.
MMA Viking caught up with the Swede at the new HILTI Stockholm facility to capture some of the final training sessions before heading to the upcoming international MMA event. Bäckström will be returning to the Cage Warriors promotion after a successful debut at Cage Warriors 41 with a victory over the UK’s Adam Edwards in April.
The gala will be held at ‘The New Boxing Arena’ at King Hussein Youth City, Amman, Jordan. This is the return to the Middle East for Cage Warriors, after a successful event earlier in the year. The fight will be show throughout the world on TV, and also available via live Internet stream.
