Dane Nicolas Dalby (14-2-1) is no longer on the UFC roster. The Dane announced today via social media, including the Instagram below using a half sad emoji on a MMAViking.com photo, that he was released by the top promotion.
Dalby fought four times in the Octagon with a record of 1 win, 2 losses, and 1 draw. The Rumble Sports fighter entered the Octagon as the Cage Warriors champion and an undefeated 13 win and 0 loss record.
“I’ll give my girlfriend a big kiss and go to the gym and train harder than I ever did before. I’ll be back.”
The 32-year-old won in a split decision over Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, had a majority draw versus Darren Till, then back-to-back losses to Zak Cummings and Peter Sobotta.
The welterweight sets his eyes on coming back. “Now it’s up to me to show the world that nobody puts Dalby in the corner.”
