It looked like it was going to be one of those tough nights for Nicolas Dalby (14-0-1), where the unbeaten run was destined to come to an end. Even with his face beginning to bleed and a knockdown at the end of the first, the Rumble Sports fighter however never looked discouraged as he was getting outpunched and kicked by Darren Till (13-0-1).

Always looking for a high kick opening a take-down or a big punch, the Sharpshooter gave his fans hope there could still be a chance through the deadly muay thai clinch and crisp striking of the UK fighter.
“I fought in the first two rounds perfectly and Nicolas didn’t know what to do with me.” – Till
The Dane was relentless in his viking spirit to find a way to turn it around, and he finally did with patented high-kick attack leading to huge power punches. Eventually getting full mount, Dalby was letting it all go. Dalby desperately put it on till with nasty ground and pound trying to get the finish.
In the end, it was the clock that saved Till from Dalby’s attack which was starting to include knees and more punches once it got up the feet. Two of the judges scored the third as a 10-8 round, giving just enough to get the majority draw.
“I knew he beat me in the first couple of rounds. But then I came back in the third.” – Dalby
Dalby was pleased with his effort in front of the packed house at UFC Fight Night 76 event at 3Arena in Dublin. “So I was happy with the draw. If you look at what he did in the first two rounds, I don’t think I did enough to beat him so a draw is a fair result.”
The Dane did get “Fight of the Night” honors worth $50,000. While, Dalby didn’t get the win, he did show that his next opponent is in for a 15 minute war if they want to put a loss on the Sharpshooters record.
