Mikael Silander (17-5) is on a roll, winning three straight bouts and looking for a fourth with a M-1 interim title shot at M-1 Challenge 87 on February 9th. The event will go down at the M-1 Arena in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The “Hulk” will take on Arman Ashimov (7-2-1) for the flyweight strap. The Kazakhstan fighter has won two straight with M-1 with KO at M-1 Challenge 81 and another KO at M-1 Challenge 85 this past November.

The fight will be for the interim title as current title holder as Aleksander Doskalchuk is injured and will not fight until the summer of 2018.
Silander has won his last 9 of 11 fights and most recently won by majority decision over Viali Branchuk at M-1 Challenge 82 in one of the best performances of his career.
