Maria Hougaard Djursaa just signed with Invicta. “6 fight contract” says the Dane to MMAViking.com shortly after making the news public.
Djursaa has put together a 5 win and 5 loss record, and was recently on an impressive three fight winning streak all by stoppages. Her most recent opponent, Annalisa Bucci, who ended her winning run at EUMMA 9 last May, has recently been signed by Bellator. The Dane has been fighting professional since 2009.
The Fight Gym Odense / Shooters BJJ Odense fighter is signed a weekend ahead of another Nordic fighter in Katja Kankaanpää getting a title shot for the American organization. “So very happy” comments Djursaa on the day of her signing.
“Dream come true… It’s so crazy.” posts the fighter on Facebook in Danish, who writes about her Invicta contract. While no date or opponent is set for Djursaa, she hopes to be in the cage on an Invicta card before the end of the year. Stay tuned.
