Malin Hermansson (2-0) has signed with Bellator. The fighter announced the news today via social media. The American based promotion made news recently by building their European roster by signing 24 fighters, and now adds the undefeated Swede.
“I know they planning European events. They wrote they going to release things soon. So I hope I’m on their mind.” says the “Herminator” to MMA Viking.
“I’m now the first Swedish female fighter to be signed by Bellator. One of the largest MMA organizations in the world.”
The Akademi Nord fighter was most recently in the cage at Cage Warriors 93 earlier in the year, where she edged Cornelia Holm (1-1) in the battle for the #1 Nordic flyweight spot. She also has a debut pro win over Gabriella Ringblom (0-1) at Superior Challenge 16.
“I also look forward to take over and show u more of The Herminator” says the confident fighter that is ready for a fight in Europe or the USA in the near future.
Scott Coker, president of Bellator, has said that the European region has become its “top priority.” While the recent signings of 24 fighters only included 1 female fighter (Ontonela Orlic), the roster continues to grow and plans a way for Europe to watch events live moving forward.
