Makwan Amirkhani (11-2) will return to the Octagon this Saturday to face Mexican Masio Fullen (10-4). MMAViking.com talks to Mr. Finland at Allstars Training Center before the upcoming Berlin bout. “I like the facts… and the fact is he is not better than me” says the always confident featherweight.
Amirkhani is coming off the 8 second win by flying knee in January and Fullen beat Alex Torres by split decision at UFC 184 in February.
“If there is some type of story, it is much interesting” says the Finland-raised fighter that sent opponent Fullen messages with Allstars teammates emphasizing that the Nordic fighter would be victorious with a quick stoppage.
“In the cage we will see who is the man.” – Amirkhani
Amirkhani has trained and put in a fight camp for the first time in his life, in what he calls “doing it in a professional way” for the first time. “The last three months I’ve only been at the gym.”
