Makwan Amirkhani (17-7) will look to establish a winning streak when he clashes with Jonathan Pearce (12-4) in a featherweight contest at UFC London.
“Mr. Finland” recently snapped a three-fight losing streak after submitting Mike Grundy back in March. It was a much needed win for the Kurdish fighter that only need 51 seconds in the Octagon’s earlier trip to London.
Pearce, meanwhile, is on a three-fight winning streak and is expected to make it four as per the oddsmakers. The 30 year old American out of Fight Ready MMA entered the UFC against Joe Lauzon, but got beat up in the lightweight bout. He has since dropped to featherweight, and looking very good so far.
Makwan however is no stranger to being the underdog, and who would have guessed the wrestler would be going strong in the UFC at the 33, over 7 years since getting called up to the UFC.
You can bet the big underdog Makwan at 2.5 – 2.7 depending on the betting company.
