FCR is coming back to Västerås with a bang as its time for their biggest event to date!
FCR 20 goes down at the ABB Arena in Västerås, Sweden. MMA Viking is cageside to capture the action.
The main event is a top featherweight bout between Tobias ”Bad Intention” Harila and Levan ”Piranha” Kirtadze. Harila is making his hometown return after some time spent at Cage Warriors where he have collected four wins where all of them comes by stoppage. He faces a strong finisher who is looking to spoil the homecoming for the Swedish superstar.
The flyweight title is on the line in the co-main event as Jonny Touma will defend his belt for the second time. This time he will go up against Rohullah Yousofi in a heated rematch!
The fight card also offers matches between top Nordic and European talents such as Alexander Lööf against Andrey Tyshchenko and Baysangur Makaev against Waltteri Hakkinen.
Harila vs Kirtadze: Kirtadze starts of with a takedown but Harila gets up. Harila gets some hard punches and kicks on his opponent. Kirtadze gets another takedown but Harila once again gets up on his feet. With one minute left bith fighters lands punches back and forth. Second round starts with a bang from both fighters, geting the punches and kicks in. Another takedown by Kirtadze but Harila gets up and lands a knee to Kirtadzes face. Kirtadze gets Harila to the ground and Harila gets top position and starts ground and pound and the crowd goes crazy and Kirtadze got saved by the bell. Third round starts and Kirtadze got back to his hard punches. This round has the same built as the former rounds with alot of punches back and forth between the to warriors and after three tough rounds the winner in this fight is Harila by majority decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-28).
Touma vs Yousofi: This fight is high tempo and both fighters show of their skills. In the end of round one Touma gets his opponent to the ground due to catching a kick. Round two starts if by Yousofi gets a clean punch that gets his opponent to the ground, but Touma turns it around. Touma controls from top switching between punches to head and body. One minute into the third round Yousofi get that win by TKO and new flyweight champion.
Lööf vs Tyshchenko: Lööf enters the arena with a show hyping the crowed and sets the atmosphere for this fight. Tyshchenko goes out hard and get a knockdown making it to the floor. Lööf gets up and escapes Tyshchenkos hard fists. Lööf lands a couple of really well placed low kicks before the round ends. Second round started up in a higher frequency with both scrambels and takedown attempt throughout the round. Lööf starts of third round with some punches before he delivers a flying knee to the body. Tyshchenko gets a takedown giving him top position. Lööf wins by split decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28).
Makaev vs Hakkinen: The fight started with some hard hits and kicks from Makaev. Makaev with a flying combination (knee to the stomach and a punch to the face) dropped Hakkinen to the floor, but Hakkinen at those punches and are still in the fight. The fight ended on the ground until end of the round. Second round starts with Makaev got the opponent to the ground and are in mount giving him the oppertunity for some epic ground and pound. Second round gave us a variation of standing technique aswell as ground game. Makaev starts third round with some legkicks and also a takedown attempt giving him top position when they once again are down on the canvas. The fight ends with Hakkinen taps due to a jaw injury giving Makaev the win by verbal submission.
Milic vs Kalandadze: The fight started with a bang. Milic started of with some hard hits before the fight went to the ground. Second round starts standing and its back and forth and once again the fight ends up on the ground with Milic on top. Milic works with his hands on the ground giving Kalandadze a hard time geting up. Kalandadze tries to get a finish with an armbar but loses it. Once again Milic on top before the fight ends standing up before the whistle blows. Third round starts standing up like previous rounds and the two fighters are trying to finish each other of. Like the other rounds they are back on the canvas but this time around Kalandadze are on top before they once again scramble standing up. With 20 seconds left Milic got top position and hoping for the win tonight. Milic wins the fight by unanimous decision (29-28, 28-27, 29-28).
Husseini vs Farag: The first round gave us alot of shots back and forth between the two fighters and the crowd is geting wild in the arena when we enter the second round. In the middle of second round Husseini gets the takedown but Farag gets up and takes advantage of the situation giving him oppertunity to finish the fight and gets a knockdown but loses with an illegal kick to the head and gets disqualified and made Husseini with a win.
Nasrutdinov vs Liparteliani: I fight that was back and forth before Nasrutdinov finishes Liparteliani by TKO in the first round.
Berggren vs Toniste: Berggren gets the win by submission in the first round due to a rear naked choke.
Suotama vs Eriksson: Eriksson starts of with a flying knee, and both ladies lands a handful of shots back and forth during the first round and Eriksson gets respect early in the fight, that shows throughout the fight. Suotama gets the clinch and controls Eriksson. Eriksson keeps geting her shots in during the second round and dominates the opponent with her fists. Suotama starts of in the clinch but Eriksson gets the control during the round and she gives the arena a fight to remember and gets the win by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
Faal vs Niebrzydowski: Niebrzydowski wins by submission in the first round (rear naked choke).
Andersson vs Söderberg: Andersson knocks down Söderberg in just seconds of the first round and lands big ground and pound strikes. Söderberg survives and gets to his feets before taking down Andersson and then force the referee to stop the fight due to vicious ground and pound!
Stålberg vs Reiz: Reiz gets the stoppage early in the first round by tapout due to ground and pound!
Keti vs Amaev: The fight goes early to the ground where Keti has the dominant position and lands some ground and pound. After eating a right cross early in the second round, Keti lands the takedown, Amaev gets to the feet to land a takedown of his own which Keti reverses and ends up on top to land strikes. The fight goes to the ground after a well timed takedown from Keti, he shows himself superior on the ground by getting ground and pound before the fight ends in i unanimous decision for Sebastian Keti (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
Fungula vs Swärd: Fungula goes for a headkick that Swärd catches and gets the early takedown and then secures the first round by keeping position. During the second round both fighters lands shorts before it once again goes to the ground by a takedown from Swärd who controls and lands some ground and pound. The third round starts with a early takedown by Swärd and controls Fungula for the most of the round and landing important ground and pound to get the win by unanimous decision (30-27,30-27,30-27).
Damarkani vs Kovac: The first fight this evening is a bout between Damarkani and Kovac it ends with a TKO win for Bajad Damarkani in the first round.
