UFC veteran and Finland-based fighter Lucio Linhares has announced via Facebook that he has withdrawn from his middleweight title bout at The Zone FC 11 scheduled for November 10.
“Hey guys, I am so sorry but unfortunatelly I will have to withdraw from my next fight, an old injury is preventing me from training and from performing in my best, those who know my spartan spirit knows that a little thing would not stop me. Anyway I hope to be back as soon as possible, thanks all for the support!!!” announces Linhares on Facebook this morning.
“Spartan” was set to face Victor Cheng from Gladius MMA, with a pro record of 9-2-0, and current middleweight title holder. The Brazilian, that now calls Finland home is coming off of a recent victory at Fight Festival 32, where he defeated Jake Doerr by TKO in round 2 –see round 2 of bout below :
