Lina Länsberg (7-2) battled through pre-fight sickness and an aggressive Lucie Pudilova (6-2) at the UFC Fight Night London. “I won the two first rounds and was totally exhausted in the third refusing to lose.” says the Elbow Queen that won 29-28 on all scorecards.
It was the first win for any Swede or Nordic woman fighter in the UFC, following attempts by Dane Anna Elmose and Finn Tina Lähdemäki in the Octagon before her.
“I may not look pretty right now but according to the doctors I’m back in sparring in a couple of weeks.” says the Swede, that was badly bloodied in the third round from a series of elbows from Pudilova. Lansberg rebounded from a TKO loss to the top woman’s fighter Cristiane Justino in her UFC debut last September in a catch-weight bout.
The two fought previously in Umeå at Battle of Botnia in 2015, where the Redline MMA fighter won again by decision.

“It was a tough fight but I’m feeling fine. I’ve fought her before so I was expecting it to be another tough fight. She lost the first fight so I knew she wanted to come after me. I’m really happy that I got the win though.”
