Lina Lansberg (7-2) has been ruled out of her bout with Leslie Smith (9-7-1) at UFC Glasgow due to a recurring injury, the Swedish bantamweight announced on Thursday afternoon.
Lansberg was due to make her third UFC appearance at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland on July 16th, but has since been replaced by promotional newcomer and Jungle FC Bantamweight Champion, Amanda Lemos (6-0-1).
The thirty-five year old Swede was aiming to win consecutive bouts in the octagon after outpointing Lucie Pudlova in a blood-soaked fight at UFC London in March.
Prior to that she faced Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino in the main event of UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil. She was stopped inside the second round of her debut, and will now have to wait to put together victories in the UFC.
UFC Glasgow is headlined by Icelandic welterweight Gunnar Nelson, who faces off with Santiago Ponzinibbio in a five round main event.
