Ilir Latifi (8 wins, 3 losses, #2 Ranked Nordic) was set to face “Filthy” Tom Lawlor (9-5) on the upcoming July 19th card in Dublin, Ireland, but the American is now injured. The news was first reported by mmajunkie.com that the light heavyweight match-up would not happen.
Lawlor and Latifi were coming off off of submission wins and set to headline the prelim card at the UFC Fight Night 46 card in Europe. The promotion is seeking a new opponent in order to keep the Swede on the card.
Latifi made short work of Cyrille Diabate in his last bout, stopping him with a ruthless neck-cranking guillotine in the very first round. Stay tuned for more information.
