“The Hitman” is making his return to face a familiar opponent. There will be fireworks in this one as former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit will look to avenge his 2009 spilt decision loss to Martin Kampmann. The rematch between top welterweights will be the five-round main event at the second fight night airing on FOX Sports 1 on August 28.
The UFC today announced the news today regarding the Dane Kampmann, who has been sidelined with knee surgery. UFC on FOX Sports 1 2, takes place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (formerly Canseco Fieldhouse) in Indianapolis.
Both welterweights Kampmann and Condit are coming off of losses to top contender Johny Hendricks. Kampmann was on a three fight winning streak before losing last November to Hendricks.
The Xtreme Couture fighter has an overall record of 20 wins and 6 losses, while Condit has a record of 28 wins and 7 losses.
