After the gruesome injury of Jon Jones’ toe last weekend during his title defense against Chael Sonnen, it seemed his callout of Swede Alexander Gustafsson would be much delayed. However, now reports have come out that the toe is dislocated and a recent picture from the champion shows that it is healing fast.
Hear from Dr. Robert Klapper, who was on the TV show UFC Tonight for insight into the injury. “The rehabilitation involves putting the toe back into place,” says the doctor. Klapper continues to say “Because there’s no fracture of the bone, it’s just a dislocation, in six weeks it’s healed, then you start range of motion and strengthening rehab.”
