Jani Salmi (9-3) will make his M-1 Challenge debut on October 27 in St. Petersburg. The GB Gym fighter had a recent 8 fight winning streak snapped, but will look to get a new one started at M-1 Challenge 84.
Salmi will face Roman Bogatov (3-0) who fights out of Boets in Orenburg, Russia. He has been unstoppable in his three fight pro career, including two first round finishes in his last two bouts with M-1 Challenge. Most recently, he submitted Rico Franco in the first round at M-1 Challenge 78.
The Finn was undefeated from 2013 – 2016 with 8 wins. He was however stopped by grappling ace Sergej Grecicho in his last fight in May at FNF 14. Salmi was supposed to fight Chris Fishgold for the CWFC light weight title, but the champ pulled out of the fight.
