Jack Hermansson (13-2) has signed with the UFC. It became official today, as the UFC announced that the Swede will be facing the UK’s Scott Askham at the UFC in Hamburg, Germany on September 3. “It feels fantastic, I am looking forward to it like crazy!! ” says an excited Hermansson to MMAViking.com immediately after the signing.
Just over one week removed from winning his eighth straight win at Venator FC 3, the Frontline Academy fighter has signed with the leading promotion. The “Joker” stopped Poland’s Ireneusz Cholewa (10-8-3) with ground and pound in the third round, dominating the fight in Italy.
“I hugged my girlfriends as hard as I could” says the Swede that can’t believe that he has finally made it.
Askham has a 14 win and 2 loss record, and last won over Chris Dempsey in February at UFC Fight Night 84.
“I think I match up well with Scott and i`m looking forward to fight so close to home so everybody can come and watch live” – Hermansson.
Jack will join another Swede in Ilir Latifi on the card, who will face Ryan Bader.
