Sweden raised Dmitrijs Homjakovs (2-0) steps back into action at tomorrow’s FREON: Gigant Fights 6. The Latvian born fighter now representing Fight Zone and Legacy Gym is in the main event against Russian Alexandr Novakovskiy (1-1) of the Tukums, Latvia event. “A lot of childhood memories being back here and it will be fun to fight here tomorrow night.”
“Dim” has not fought since 2015 when he beat Michael Dubois at Full Metal Dogo 4 when he was training in Thailand. Although he was scheduled for a 2016 bout at IRFA 10 in Sweden that cancelled, it will now be more than two and half years out of the cage.
“It feels good to be back after all these years. Im gonna bring it and hope he brings it too.”
The matchup against Novakovskiy, and M-1 Global vet, will be the main event of the evening in the 11 fight event. “It’s gonna be a war for the W. This guy was as blood thirsty as me at the weigh ins today.”
“Homjakovs is very well rounded fighter with a lot of amateur mma fight and even a few pro muay thai fights.” says One FC title challenger Zebaztian Kadestam that will be in the Swede’s corner.
