Jack Hermansson (18-4, #1 Nordic MW) beat Gerald Meerschaert (28-10) at UFC on FOX 31 bout in Milwaukee in dominant fashion.
The Swede got on top within the first 20 seconds and put pressure on the American. The Frontline Academy fighter looked for a submission from the top, then easily went into full mount after the Meerschaert tried to espape.
The “Joker” used brutal ground and pound from full mount and from back devastating the local fighter, before being briefly reversed. But the Oslo based fighter was agressive and adjusted with an arm-in guillotine choke to lock up the submission and tap.
It is all over. A round 1 submission at 1:25 in the first.
Hermansson has now won his last four of five in the Octagon with his only loss in this run to Thiago Santos that has moved up to light heavyweight.
