Swede Håkon Foss (7-3), fighting out of Frontline Academy in Norway, has signed with Cage Warriors. Death was part of 18 fighters signed by the promotion today that brought in a “perfect mix of MMA veterans and hot new prospects all renowned for their exceptional skill and for delivering exciting fights.” Foss says “I can showcase my vicious fighting style to a broader audience now that Cage Warriors is on UFC Fight Pass and Viasat Sport” to MMAViking.com.
Foss is coming off a recent win at Imperium FC 5 on August 28th where he put away German Jonny Kruschinske. It was the welterweight’s third win in a row.
The Oslo based fighter doesn’t know when he will fight, but it should be soon. “We have two shows left this year and a packed schedule in 2017 so we’ve boosted the CWFC roster.” reveals the promotion.
“One step closer to my ultimate goal and thats the UFC. But I’m very proud to once again fight in the number 1 promotion in Europe.” – Foss
The nasty striker was also in action at ICE FC 15 in May, where he stopped Graham Armstrong in the second round. Before that, he shocked the local crowd by stopping powerhouse Jussi Halonen at CAGE 34. It has been an amazing 2016 so far for the 188 cm fighter.
Other Nordic fighters in Mathias Lodahl (Denmark), Kenneth Bergh (Norway), Thomas Robertsen (Norway), and Victor Cheng (Sweden) were also signed.
