Hakon Foss (9-6) returned to action at Cage Warriors 100 in Cardiff against Aaron Khalid (9-4-1), but will unfortunately be leaving Wales with a loss.
After getting the best of Khalid in the first and much of the second with crisp standup, the Frontline Academy in Oslo, Norway got caught and was in trouble on the feet. The heavy hitting Khalid landed several punches then took the fight to the ground, where he first looked for a rear-naked choke. Foss however survived, then Aaron with for a D’arce choke which was very tight. Marc Goddard was looking down at the choke that was very tight, and after checking the Sweden raised fighter’s arm he stopped the bout. Foss immediately questioned the call, and argued he was not asleep and defending. The welterweight was in disbelief that the fight was stopped.
“It was the right call, his legs were limp” commented Dan Hardy after watching the reply.
