The third trip to Sweden will feature a main card headlined by an Icelandic fighter plus three Swedes making it the first ever UFC to have a Nordic fighter in each main card bout. UFC officials posted the breakout showing the four fight main card headlined by Mjölnir/SBGi Gunnar Nelson taking on American Rick Story, plus Swedes Akira Corassani, Ilir Latifi, and Niklas Bäckström taking on Chan Sung Jung, Jan Blachowicz, and Mike Wilkinson respectively.
Plus, the 11 fight card features Swedes Magnus Cedenblad, Nico Musoke, and Tor Troeng, who face Scott Askham, Alexander Yakovlev, and Krzysztof Jotko respectively who square-off on the prelim card.

The card is being referred to by several different names, including UFC Fight Night 53, UFC Fight Night Stockholm, and UFC Fight Night Nelson vs Story. It is the first main event for Gunnar Nelson, after being the co-main event in his last bout at Fight Night Dublin.
The event will go down at the Globe Arena on October 4th and tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 22.
