Finnish fighters were on fire at the StandUpWar 2 event that was held on Saturday 31st of March in Tampere, Finland. Most of the fights on the card were match ups between a Finn and a Lithuanian fighter out of the Knight of Plunge gym. Plunge fighters are a common sight at the Finnish MMA shows for couple of reasons: they got a big roster of high skilled guys and they always come to fight. At the Cage 18 event Knight of Plunge was highly successful but this time their trip to Tampere was an one-sided beat down where the Lithuanians were on the receiving end.
In the main event rapidly developing Johan Vänttinen of Porvoo’s Fight Factory scored a unanimous decision over Lithunian Ernestar Slavickas.
FinnFighters grappling wizard Tipi Hirvikangas extended his string of impressive victories as he submitted Sweden based Martin Fouda by armbar late in the first round.
GB Gym’s super prospect Musa Amagov needed just 23 seconds to crush his Lithuanian opponent Dainius Almokas in a catchweight bout of 75 kilos.
