Let’s not forget about Magnus Cedenblad (13-4). The Swede has won three out of his four Octagon appearances, including three straight since submitting Jared Hamman at UFC 164 in August of 2013. He has been out of action for a year and a half, but “Jycken” will be back in action on Sunday at UFC Fight Night 87 in Rotterdam, Holland.
The 34 year old has had several injuries including a surgery, leaving him out of action since his victory over Scott Askham at Stockholm’s UFC Fight Night 53 card in October of 2014. “I truly believe I have never been close to be such a good fighter I am now.”
The huge middleweight shared that he has still has 9 kg (20 lbs) to go as he steps on the scales this Saturday. Across the cage from him will be Garreth McLellan (13-3) from South Africa. The 34 year old is coming off of a KO at UFC Fight Night 76, where he stopped Bubba Bush. He has one win and one loss in his two fight UFC career.
Cedenblad has been developing his skills with Stockholm’s Pancrase Gym. “I know I have told people around me that, but next Sunday I will prove it to you all and you will all see a fully improved me.”
With a four fight winning streak just, the Swede could put himself in a battle with a top 10 fighter in his next outing. Keep your eyes on Jycken this Sunday!
