Diego Gonzalez (19-11) is getting better with time, and he proved that this evening at Abu Dhabi Warriors 4 with an arm triangle submission in the second round over Carlos Moyano (5-4).
The “Silencer” showed that it was his night with a high pace striking attack, moving to get takedowns. With a near kneebar submission in the first, the Stockholm based fighter was superior on the ground. Two minutes into the second round he was able to secure another take-down on the tiring Columbian fighter. At first, Diego was close with a kimura, but once the action was reset Gonzalez jumped out with a tight arm trianble and put the opponent to sleep.
Gonzalez now has a three fight winning streak, all with submissions in the second round.
