Recently, David Bielkheden he seriously injured his foot, and thus will have to withdraw. The damage arose from a training camp in the U.S.. If he competes he risks foot breaks, which in turn can lead to permanent damage and that he can never compete.
Besam weighed 82 kg when he was notified of the situation and Papy Abedi was presented as a new opponent. Papy accepted the match on short notice, but announced that he will not be able to get in the middleweight division in such a short time, which is understandable. Yousef accepted the match and agreed weight was -83 kg. Makambos team did not approve the match at the last second and Superior had to start looking for new options. On the same day presented opponents Danny Mitchell, Eduardo Pamplona, Matt Veach, Zorobabel Moreira, Bristol Marunde, Vitor Pinto, Clay French, Gleristone Santos, Brock Larson, Paul Daley, Reza Madadi, Kai Puolakka, Juho Valamaa etc. For various reasons, fell most away and finally determined Danny Mitchell as the new replacement for David Bielkheden . Agreed weight for the match – 80kg .
Danny recently had a match set and was therefore ready and in shape to compete when he was asked. The Englishman competes extensively in MMA, Kickboxing and Boxing. Last we saw him was at Superior Challenge 6 – Lion’s Den where he defeated Nico Musoke via Armbar two minutes into the second round.
Babak Aghavali , CEO Superior Group International :
– I was really worried for David when his fitness coach Boris announced the severity of David’s injury is. David really wanted to go the match despite injury so they looked at the option of taping it, but the other X-ray photography showed that the injury was much more serious than they first thought. It is never worth getting but the rest of life and risk never being able to go off again . Now, however, we know that David will be completely recovered, but he has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him. Our athlete’s health issues and safety is our top priority so we hope we can watch this match on the next or subsequent Superior Challenge awards. The recent past has been very tough for Besam who were prepared to meet David and get now with only a few days notice to adjust to meet Danny, but Besam is tough and it takes it in stride.
David Bielkheden , Sportsman Superior Challenge :
– I ‘m sorry I have to withdraw from the fight when I was well prepared to go off on Saturday at Superior Challenge 9 – Gothenburg Scandinavium against Besam.
