Finland’s most well known MMA fighter Anton Kuivanen has agreed on a single fight deal with the Cage promotion. Helsinki based lightweight will fight at the promotion’s show “Cage 23” that takes place on the 21th of September in Vantaa, Finland. Opponent for the bout is undecided at the moment but the promotion is looking for a big name to challenge the hometown hero.
“I thought about the offer for a moment. It seemed like a good choice at this point. I’m happy to fight at Cage as I believe they’re also ready to invest in getting a tough opponent for me” commented Kuivanen.
In May Kuivanen fought at Cage 22 where he put on an impressive performance against Jason Pierce. The Finn controlled the action for throughout the fight for three rounds showing superior striking and grappling against the American.
It looks like the September card will be another stacked one from Cage promotion as featherweight champ Tom “Stoneface” Niinimäki and light heavyweight kingpin Marcus “Caveman” Vänttinen will also defend their belts at the Cage 23.
