Amir “The Prince” Albazi (13-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC), a UFC flyweight from Sweden has recently signed the contract for an upcoming bout against Raulian Paiva (20-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) from Brazil.
The flyweights will clash at UFC Fight Night: Hall vs. Silva on the 31st of October. The location has not yet been announced, but there are high chances that it will all take place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After the cancelled fight at BRAVE CF 37, Albazi was signed to the UFC. His first bout took place at UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2, where Albazi brought home the 1st round submission via triangle choke against Malcolm Gordon (12-4).
Following his appearance at Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018, where he beat Allan Nascimento (17-5) via split decision, Paiva suffered two losses in the UFC after which he managed to come back and is now running a 2-fight winning streak. In his last two bouts, he first knocked out Mark De La Rosa (11-5) with an overhand right in round 2 and then beat the newly-signed Zhalgas Zhumagulov (13-4) via unanimous decision.
