After Saturday’s 25 second bout against Maximo Blanco at the TUF 18 Finale, which ended in a disqualification, Akira Corassani took to the internet to talk in depth about his recovery in a post on YouTube. “I was in such great shape for this fight. I felt amazing.” says the Swede about his preparations for his shot at a three fight winning streak in the Octagon. Corassani assumed the bout had ended by a KO as he stared dazed at the referee and doctor attending to him. “I got knocked out by a knee”.
After 35 injections to his nose in a two hour procedure, Corassani is already headed back to the gym. After a month of no contact, Corssani hopes to be back to full training in action in four months. Lastly, he thanks the fans for all their support around the world, stating he “feels all this love”. Here from Akira in full here:
