UFC Fight Night’s main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas was set up to be a hype builder for Joe Pyfer (12-3 MMA), but only in the end showed that Jack Hermansson (24-8) is not to be outshined, especially in a 5-round bout.

After withering the hard strikes and power of the American in the first two rounds, it was time for the “Joker” to take over. With a quick jab, and brutal calf kicks, the Swede turned the tide in the third.
It was more of the same as the strong-willed Norwegian based fighter won the last three rounds on all the scorecards. A sharp left jab stunned Pyfer, and he thought it was an eye-poke, but he thought wrong. The fight continued and Jack started moving forward for the first time.
The fifth round saw the wrestler get his first shot in on the legs, and Hermansson used his ground-and-pound specialty to stay on top the last two minutes to secure the comeback win. Scorecards 48-47 from the official judges across the board.
