Juho Valamaa (12-4 & #5 Nordic Ranked) was riding a six fight winning streak heading into Euro FC 1 last October, but one punch from to European Karl Amoussou (24-7-2) stopped the bearded Finn.
“I learned the reality what it takes to fight opponents of his caliber. There is no room for error. I don’t like losing, but try to take something to evolve from it.” says the FinnFighters Gym fighter that now faces another big hitter in Swede Zebaztian Kadestam (8-2) tomorrow at Superior Challenge 15.
“I have been fighting last years in Finland, and it’s nice to get to fight elsewhere again. Of course it has its own demands, but overall, nice to be fighting in new places and in front of new crowd.” says Valamaa. The Finn has not fought in Sweden since a TKO stoppage against Jonatin Westin back in 2011. He will again be in enemy territory as he faces Kadestam that now trains locally in Stockholm at Panrase Gym after calling Legacy Gym home in Asia for years.
“He has had good fight against good opponents, so I’m looking forward for this.”
“He seems to have background on Thaiboxing and few titles too, so I think he’s good in standup fighting.” says the welterweight with 12 wins and 4 losses to his record.
“It’s the real fight of the night” says opponent Kadestam about the Finnkamp matchup.
