It looks like the matchup that was set up in 2012 will be taking place in 2016 as it is being reported by Combate that Alexander Gustafsson will be facing AntΓ΄nio Rogerio Nogueira on November 19 in Sao Paulo Brazil. The card UFC Fight Night 100 has not been officially announced.
Little Nog was expected to face the Mauler on April 14, 2012 at UFC on Fuel TV 2, the first UFC in Sweden. However, Nogueira pulled out of the bout due to injury.
The Brazilian is coming off a win over American wrestler Patrick Cummins. The boxer won by TKO in the first round of the bout in May at UFC 198. The 40 year old has a record of 22 wins and 7 losses.
Gustaffson also recently got back on the winning track by outpointing Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93 earlier in the month. The 29 year old out of Allstars Training Center has 17 wins and 4 losses.
