“The talks with the new opponent have started and CAGE hopes to be able to announce the new opponent this week.” says the promotion about getting a new opponent in place.
The 30 year old Kuivanen who now represents Primus Fight Team has had mixed results since his 1 win and 2 loss run in the Octagon. The Finn has gone 3 wins and 2 losses in his post-UFC fights, most recently losing by a flying knee to Dakota Cochrane in June of 2014.
“During the earlier stages of my professional MMA career there was more significance to who my opponent was scheduled to be. Back then I used to give the opponent more thought and consider probably even too much what his strengths were and what his game plan was going to be. Nowadays, after having earned my career mileage and experience, I really don’t care who I’m facing.” comments Kuivanen.
