Swede Max Nunes is rubbing elbows with many of the UFC’s elite during his trip to Southern California. “Power” began training with Alexander Gustafsson in Stockholm at Alliance Training Center earlier in the year, and has extended this training with traveling to Alliance in San Diego with the title contender as the Mauler prepares for Jon Jones. Nunes, is also preparing for his shot at his BAMMA belt on September 14.
“I’ve been working a lot with Alex and Brandon so i have learned a lot from these guys. But I learn something from everyone i train with, there are really good training partners here.” Nunes tells MMAViking.com about his training.
The undefeated light heavyweight explains that “All the trainings been done at Alliance but we also went down to Reign and did some sparring at Mark Munoz gym, it was really fun to meet some new people and new people to spar with.”

Swede Max Nunes looks to improve on his 11 win and 0 loss record with a title shot on September 14 in the UK. BAMMA. The Swedish-born fighter, now living in London and home base at New Wave Academy, will face Jason Jones for the BAMMA Light Heavyweight Title at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham for it’s 13th event.
Nunes is tabbed as the next Swede to get the call into the UFC. “I feel really good and i keep getting better and better so when the time comes i will be more than ready” says Nunes about his preparations for a future opportunity to fight in the Octagon.
