The Swedish MMA scene is growing again, this time with Heroes Fighting Championship putting on a debut show in Halmstad Arena. The organization announced its arrival yesterday. Read the press release below, and stay tuned for more on this promotion coming soon.

Heroes Fighting Championship is a new Swedish mixed gala with MMA and muay thai fights. The venue is Halmstad Arena on March 23, 2013.

The arena will take 4500 fans and Heroes Fighting Championship expects the arena to be sold out.

The tickets will be released shortly on Ticnet.se.

The first matches will be announced in a couple of days and the rest of the fight card will be presented beginning of 2013.

Heroes Fighting Championship will consist of 10-12 high-quality professional MMA bouts and 2 muay thai fights with some of the best fighters from Sweden and from around the world.

The mix of MMA and thaiboxing bouts will give the fans a good variety and it will also attract a wider audience.

The thaiboxing audience is not spoiled by professional galas.

The thaiboxing audience is large and loyal especially in the region and it is not so far to travel neither from Malmö or Gothenburg to Halmstad Arena.

There is a large thaiboxing tradition on the west coast with good clubs in Malmö, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Varberg, Gothenburg and Borås.

We want to provide the best fighters and entertainment for our audience, and we believe most people like stand up fighters.

Each match will be breathtaking, something extra ordinary, that engages the audience and stimulates the imagination. We expect, the gala to sell out of tickets before the appointed date of the competition.

The basis for a successful gala is exciting profiles and matches, a strong concept and good marketing. We want to point out a new direction in what martial arts is all about.

We want this gala taking martial arts to a whole new level. The names of the gala will not only attract MMA fans and Thai boxing enthusiasts. The idea is that the gala will attract ordinary people who have never been to a martial arts gala earlier, because they want to see something extraordinary and spectacular.
